She treats all neuromusculoskeletal and neurological conditions, adult and paediatric chest conditions, geriatric patients, post-surgical and post-orthopaedic rehabilitation, and blocked ducts and mastitis after childbirth. Her special interest is the head, neck and jaw: "TMJ" and jaw pain, facial nerve conditions such as Bell's palsy and trigeminal neuralgia, rehabilitation after maxillofacial surgery, and related headache and ear symptoms. Patients whose jaw, head or neck symptoms have not settled despite treatment are welcome. Many arrive after a long search for answers; that is often where her experience is most useful. The practice is in Glenhazel at Suite 1, 6 Glenwood Lodge, Long Avenue (corner George Avenue). The practice operates privately. Payment is made after each session, by card or cash, and you receive an invoice with the codes your medical aid requires. No claim is submitted on your behalf. Each medical aid operates differently; many patients receive a substantial portion back, often around two-thirds, depending on their plan and available funds. Each session is billed according to the treatment given, and after your first assessment you will be told what that session and any further sessions will cost. Berdene also runs a separate Integrative Health and Wellness business, Be Better Health & Wellness (Pty) Ltd, from Suite 2 at 6 Glenwood Lodge. The two have separate entrances and operate as completely separate entities.
